Loan Officer, Economic Development
Lorenzo Thurman accepted the position of loan officer with
the Michigan McGehee Interfaith Loan Fund in September 2001.
Prior to joining MMILF, Lorenzo worked in the mortgage industry
for six years with National City Bank and two other mortgage
companies in Miami, Florida. Mr. Thurman is originally from
Detroit, but has also lived in Florida and California. In
California, Lorenzo attended Fuller Theological Seminary for
one year, pursuing a master's degree in theology.
In 2003, Lorenzo was nominated for the U.S. Small Business
Administration's Michigan Financial Services Advocate of the
Year award. Mr. Thurman currently services statewide economic
development loans for the Michigan Interfaith Trust Fund from
the organization's Detroit headquarters.
